Job Description
Do you have hold Extensive experience in concrete and reinforced steel design on highly regulated projects? And strong experience in seismic analysis?
Are you experienced in design of civil engineering solutions to American codes?

The opportunity
Our client is currently seeking a Principal Seismic Civil & Structural Engineer to join our growing Energy division. This is an exciting time to get involved as we support a major client’s UK nuclear fleet through significant transformation and collaborate with developers of next- small modular reactors. Our work spans a wide range of areas—including Licensing, New Build, Power , Life Extension, and Defueling—making our expertise highly sought after across the nuclear industry.
Their aim is to advance new nuclear technologies while ensuring the continued safe operation of existing power stations—playing a key role in helping the UK meet its Net Zero carbon goals.
The role
In this role as a Principal Civil and Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading civil engineering activities, delivering complex engineering solutions to time, cost and quality on projects of varying sizes.
This role will be based in either Warrington/Bristol/Newcastle/Gloucester

You will have the following qualifications & experience
The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
