Oracle’s Software Assurance organization aims to make application security and software assurance scalable. We are a diverse team of architects, researchers, and engineers creating secure and innovative solutions. We are working on a greenfield software assurance project.
Work You’ll Do
We are seeking a Security Data Analyst to join our team. You will design, develop, and analyze large datasets for security and compliance, leveraging cybersecurity expertise to identify threats and ensure secure coding practices throughout development.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in software/platform development/engineering, with experience in web, mobile, or analytics dataflows.
- Experience in data management, building scalable data platforms.
- Skilled in handling large datasets and designing maintainable systems.
- Proficient in API development, REST, gRPC.
- Programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or similar.
- Knowledge of data science concepts and tools like Jupyter, pandas, numpy.
- Experience with API security and testing tools like Postman, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP.
- Strong understanding of database systems like MySQL.
- Hands-on with security and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of mobile app performance optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with OCI cloud services.
- Knowledge of machine learning or AI in security.
- Familiarity with Agile, JIRA, Confluence.
- Understanding of Software Assurance programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop a secure platform for API data analysis in MySQL.
- Collaborate to define and implement data rules and flows.
- Conduct threat analysis and manage security vulnerabilities.
- Ensure security and compliance, integrating OWASP, NIST, ISO standards.
- Automate security controls and monitor continuously.
- Maintain data integrity with MySQL queries.
- Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
- Identify security weaknesses and mentor engineers.
- Stay updated on security trends and improve platform architecture.
- Document architecture and decisions thoroughly.
