Job Description:

Overview: Leonardo UK is seeking an experienced Principal Security Consultant to join the Cyber & Security Solutions Division. The role involves supporting security delivery for core products and external stakeholders, coordinating with engineering teams, and managing all cyber and information security aspects throughout the engineering lifecycle.

This position offers the opportunity to work on significant programs, ensuring products meet high standards and customer requirements. You will be part of a team of consultants, engineers, and specialists, with a hybrid working model combining remote and on-site work at Leonardo offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead or work independently to deliver cyber and information security across the engineering lifecycle.
  • Translate customer requirements into security management plans and activities.
  • Serve as the security subject matter expert for assigned products.
  • Manage statements of work and deliverables within time, cost, and quality constraints.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues.
  • Manage customer relationships related to security workstreams.
  • Mentor and manage team members as needed.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

Must have a passion for cyber security and:

  • Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • A degree or MSc. in engineering or cyber security, or recognized professional certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber/engineering roles, including MOD accreditation, security standards (e.g., NIST, Defstan), risk management, and security design.
Desirable Skills:
  • Understanding of the engineering lifecycle and key review activities.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic technologies and MOD/NCSC standards.
  • Experience with cyber security and airworthiness standards.
Security Clearance:

Required.
