Job summary

Meridian Space UK Limited is building a fundamentally new model for sovereign space infrastructure. As our Principal Satellite Networks Architect, you will own the end-to-end systems architecture of the Meridian 5G Non-Terrestrial Network solution, bridging space and ground segments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, or related field
• Experience architecting complex system-of-systems across satellite networks and ground segments
• Deep knowledge of the 3GPP ecosystem and 5G NTN, NG-RAN, or O-RAN splits
• Expertise in RF design, link budgets, and NTN channel models (delay, Doppler, fading)
• Experience executing beam design, coverage modeling, and NTN simulations

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and development of Meridian NTN RAN architecture
• Own requirements engineering, system specs, traceability, and roadmaps for ground segment RAN
• Drive RF system design, link budgets, and antenna systems for ground and space segments
• Oversee lab/testbed build, automate test execution, and KPI measurements across end-to-end architecture
• Collaborate with network core, OSS, and space segment architects for end-to-end coherence
