Overview

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for Principal Safety Case Engineers ideally with a background in the nuclear sector to be engaged on a permanent basis across the UK with hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of engineering and technical activities by applying your expertise, domain knowledge, and established processes.
• Develop and implement hazard management strategies; actively participate in HAZID and HAZOP studies.
• Prepare high-quality radiological safety assessments, including Hazard Management Strategies, Preliminary and Pre-Construction Safety Reports (PSRs, PCSRs), and their equivalents.
• Produce and review engineering calculations, design basis documents, and technical reports.
• Oversee the delivery of work performed by the Supply Chain, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and risk management targets within your area of responsibility.
• Maintain a strategic overview of safety case approaches and technical solutions across projects, promoting consistency and sharing best practices.
