Job summary

Metrea Mission Data Limited seeks a Principal RF Engineer to lead RF system design for expeditionary Electronic Warfare, SIGINT, spectrum operations and secure communications. You will own RF architectures, antennas, receivers, transmitters, and system performance analyses throughout full lifecycles.

The role requires 7+ years in RF development, strong experience with SDRs and IQ data, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams; hybrid work between Lincoln or London with

Qualifications

• Degree in RF/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum seven years' RF systems design experience.
• Experience with defence/aerospace sectors preferred.
• Experience with SDRs, IQ data collection/analysis.
• Experience with unmanned systems RF integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate RF systems for expeditionary EW, SIGINT, and secure comms.
• Develop RF architectures: antennas, receivers, transmitters, filters, frequency conversion.
• Perform RF performance analysis: gain, noise figure, sensitivity, dynamic range, link budgets.
• Support rapid R&D, prototyping and tech evaluation.
• Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, software, cyber and operations teams.
• Lead RF testing, verification and deployment activities.
• Ensure EMC, grounding, shielding and standards compliance.
• Travel within UK and internationally for trials and deployments.
