We are looking for Principal Reimbursement Analyst who will drive the development and execution of Reimbursement and Health Economic strategies to secure reimbursement and funding for the Cardiovascular Diagnostics & Services (CDS) Business Unit in the EMEA region. You will collaborate very closely with the internal Health Economics, Policy and Reimbursement (HEPR), sales and marketing teams in the European countries to develop customer value propositions and business cases and advance the evidence strategy in collaboration with the global and country teams.
This role is open to the whole Western and Central Europe countries. You will work remotely with the travel to WE up to 30%, depending on business demand.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Support local funding for our technology through supporting local business cases with economic value tools and evidence. This will include developing tailored economic value messages together with the sales team and training the team to use the economic tools. To do so, you will develop a comprehensive knowledge of the CDS operating unit (OU’s) technologies, value propositions and evidence, and use your specialist knowledge of health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) methodologies and MedTech reimbursement practices
  • Optimize Health Technology Assessments, reimbursement applications, Diagnosis-Related Groups funding mechanisms and other budget-related processe
  • Be an internal expert on, and maintain informative documentation about, the current reimbursement status of these products, including the risks and opportunities relevant for business and project planning
  • Lead or provide input to evidence development plans befitting these cardiovascular diagnostic technologies and remote monitoring services, including input to clinical study design, measurement of healthcare utilization and quality of life, and analysis of healthcare administrative datasets or registries
  • Provide technology-specific and general reimbursement and health economic education and training. An important part of this role is to drive the upskilling and support for Sales Representatives and Market Development Specialists on health system and economic value propositions targeted for non-clinical audiences, in collaboration with the Marketing organization
  • Represent the Reimbursement and Health Economics function at external meetings, either on behalf of the CDS OU or the broader Medtronic organization.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in reimbursement, health economics or market access
  • Degree in Economics, Health Economics or Bioscience (including Medicine, Pharmacy, Biostatistics)
  • Track record of successful reimbursement and funding achievements for medical technologies (pharma or devices)
  • Knowledge of epidemiology, clinical study design and analysis of healthcare administrative databases including analysis, interpretation and reporting
  • Leadership & Collaboration: The individual carries out his/her responsibilities within a framework of multi-disciplinary teams, including critically important collaboration with in-country RBT/HE staff and adjacent functions such as clinical research, marketing, pricing, training & education, medical programs and governmental/public affairs. The scope of activity is broad and requires strong skills in advocacy, being proactive, prioritization and project management
  • Value Proposition: Use your skills and experience to develop and deliver strong value propositions aligned to hospital funding decision makers priorities and policies. Awareness of Value Based Healthcare is preferred
  • Results–Oriented & High Attention to Detail: Achieve goals and deliver outcomes with a strong sense of accountability and quality orientation.
