We’re looking for a Principal Radiation Physicist to lead technical efforts in shielding design, safety analysis, and radiological innovation. You’ll play a key role in shaping and validating cutting-edge systems that demand high standards of precision and performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the design and analysis of radiation shielding for advanced engineering systems

  • Overseeing safety assessments and radiological justifications for evolving design concepts

  • Guiding experimental validation and qualification activities

  • Driving the development of bespoke radiation physics toolsets and models

  • Managing technical balance between shielding effectiveness, performance, and manufacturability

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A degree in a relevant STEM discipline (e.g., Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry)

  • Strong background in radiation physics and shielding design

  • Proficiency in radiation transport simulation codes (e.g., MCNP, MCBEND, Attila)

  • Experience conducting radiation safety studies and metrology

  • Solid understanding of ALARP principles and radiological risk management

Desirable

  • Experience leading or managing complex technical projects

  • Familiarity with electronic systems affected by radiation environments
