Job description

Job Title: Principal Quality Engineer - Field Product Assurance Engineer

Location: Barrow in Furness or UK. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements; please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on skills and experience (plus essential car & expenses).

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for Quality Assurance and verification of documentation and hardware of procured parts at supplier sites across the UK.
  • Engage with stakeholders, suppliers, and products to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Oversee manufacturing operations and conduct inspections.
  • Verify documentation in-process and final with attention to detail.
  • Provide advice, support, and coaching to suppliers based on your knowledge and experience.
  • Ensure high-quality records are produced during production and inspections.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Broad understanding of quality tools and techniques.
  • Experience in verification activities within supply chain environments.
  • HNC qualification in engineering/quality or a strong mechanical trade background.
  • NDE Level 2 Certification, CSWIP 3.0 Welding Inspection, PCN Level 2 Welding Inspection, or ICORR Protective Coatings Inspection Level 1 as a minimum.

The Principal Quality Engineer - Field Engineer team:

This role involves working on one of the UK's most complex, cutting-edge projects, with exposure to various stakeholder groups and industrial partners across the UK. It includes accountability for quality assurance of documentation and hardware of procured parts, with hybrid working and a user car provided. Relocation support is available for eligible candidates.
