Role: Principal Quality Engineer – Field Product Assurance Engineer

Location: Barrow in Furness or UK Field Based. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Salary: Negotiable, depending on skills and experience (plus essential car & expenses)

What you’ll be doing:

1. Responsibility for Quality Assurance and verification of documentation and hardware of procured parts at supplier sites across the UK.
2. Engagement with stakeholders, suppliers, and products to ensure quality and compliance.
3. Oversight and witnessing of manufacturing operations and inspections.
4. Verification of documentation in-process and final, with attention to detail.
5. Providing advice, support, and coaching to suppliers based on your knowledge and experience.
6. Ensuring high-quality records are produced through production processes and inspections.

Your skills and experiences:

1. Full UK Driving Licence.
2. Broad understanding of quality tools & techniques.
3. Experience in supply chain verification activities.
4. HNC qualification in engineering/quality or strong mechanical trade background.
5. NDE Level 2 Certification or equivalent (CSWIP 3.0 Welding Inspection, PCN Level 2 Welding Inspection, or ICORR Protective Coatings Inspection Level 1).
