Our client, a leading company in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Barrow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and EN9100 standards
• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Quality, with a broad understanding of related disciplines
• Managing and maintaining Business Management Systems, Operational Frameworks, and Operational Assurance processes
• Ensuring product safety and compliance with export requirements, such as ITAR
• Interpreting specifications, procedures, and contract requirements, and cascading this information effectively to others
• Leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies, such as Fishbone, 5 Why, and six sigma, and analysing evidence
• Managing effective action management and verification processes

Job Requirements:

• Experience in quality management within the Defence sector
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and EN9100 standards
• Proficiency in Quality-related disciplines and operational assurance processes
• Experience in the APQP framework:
