Principal QA Test Engineer Nottingham / WFH to £85k

Are you a senior QA Test Engineer with experience testing modern cloud-based software at scale?

You could be progressing your career in an impactful role at a tech company that provides a range of B2B SaaS solutions.

As a Principal QA Test Engineer, you will oversee QA testing processes across two Agile squads within the payments and collections tribe. You will be the go-to person and SME, becoming an influential leader. You will collaborate with Architects, Lead Engineers, and Engineering Managers on implementing best practices, testing tools, and test strategies.

You will define and implement the overall testing strategy, including manual and automated testing approaches, to ensure the quality of the product through test strategy development and execution of various testing techniques, including end-to-end testing and production monitoring. You will drive continuous improvement as an active member of the QA Guild, collaborating with other squads and tribes to ensure consistency and share best practices.

WFH Policy:

There is a remote interview and onboarding process. You will be able to work remotely most of the time, with team meetups once a month in the Nottingham office.

About you:

• You have extensive QA testing experience, especially with large-scale, data-centric systems.
• You understand the 'bigger picture' and can make strategic decisions that benefit the business long-term.
• You have experience working closely with software engineers and influencing product development.
• You possess strong knowledge of C#, API testing, and AWS.
• You have experience coaching and mentoring, fostering a culture of excellence.
• You have a solid understanding of testing best practices and test automation.
• You have experience working in an Agile environment.
• You have excellent communication skills, are collaborative and pragmatic, and are keen to contribute to technical discussions and decision-making.
• You are likely degree-educated in a relevant STEM discipline, though this is not essential if you have the right experience.
