About

Principal QA Test Engineer Nottingham / WFH to £85k

Role Overview

Are you a senior QA Test Engineer with experience testing modern cloud-based software at scale? You could progress your career in an impactful role at a tech company providing a range of B2B SaaS solutions.

As a Principal QA Test Engineer, you will oversee QA testing processes across two Agile squads within the payments and collections tribe. You will be a go-to SME and influential leader, collaborating with Architects, Lead Engineers, and Engineering Managers to implement best practices, testing tools, and test strategies.

You will define and implement the overall testing strategy, including manual and automated testing, ensuring product quality through various testing techniques such as end-to-end testing and production monitoring. You will also drive continuous improvement as part of the QA Guild, sharing practices across teams.

WFH Policy

Remote interview and onboarding are available, with most work being remote. You may meet with the team once a month in Nottingham.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive QA testing experience, especially with large-scale, data-centric systems
• Ability to take a high-level overview and make long-term beneficial decisions
• Experience collaborating with software engineers and influencing product development
• Strong knowledge of C#, API testing, and AWS
• Experience coaching and mentoring, fostering a culture of excellence
• Knowledge of testing best practices and Test Automation
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Excellent communication skills, collaborative, pragmatic, and engaged in technical discussions
• Degree in a relevant STEM field preferred but not essential with the right experience
