Principal QA Test Engineer Nottingham / WFH to £85k

Are you a senior QA Test Engineer with experience testing modern cloud-based software at scale?

You could advance your career in an impactful role at a tech company providing a range of B2B SaaS solutions.

As a Principal QA Test Engineer, you will oversee QA testing processes across two Agile squads within the payments and collections tribe. You'll serve as the go-to SME and influential leader, collaborating with Architects, Lead Engineers, and Engineering Managers to implement best practices, testing tools, and test strategies.

You will define and execute the overall testing strategy, including manual and automated testing, ensuring product quality through various test techniques such as end-to-end testing and production monitoring. You'll also drive continuous improvement as an active member of the QA Guild, working with other squads and tribes to promote consistency and share best practices.

WFH Policy:

Remote interview and onboarding are available. You will work mostly remotely, with team meetups approximately once a month in Nottingham.

About you:

• Extensive QA testing experience, especially with large-scale, data-centric systems
• Ability to see the 'big picture' and make strategic decisions benefiting the business long-term
• Experience working closely with software engineers and influencing product development
• Strong knowledge of C#, API testing, and AWS
• Experience coaching and mentoring, fostering a culture of excellence
• Deep understanding of testing best practices and Test Automation
• Experience working within an Agile team environment
• Excellent communication skills, collaborative, pragmatic, and eager to contribute to technical discussions
• Degree in a relevant STEM discipline is preferred but not essential if you have the right experience
