Overview

Principal Public Rights of Way Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Public Rights of Way Officer who will act as the professional lead for all Public Rights of Way related matters across the authority.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Public Rights of Way team.
  • Act as the council's subject matter expert and principal advisor on all PROW matters.
  • Develop and implement policies, strategies, and service delivery models to improve the PROW network.
  • Lead on complex legal cases, public path orders, enforcement matters, and appeals.
Key Experience / Qualifications
  • Significant experience working within Public Rights of Way services, preferably in a senior or principal role within a local authority or highways environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience of delivering high-quality services through others.
Working Arrangement

This role requires the successful candidate in the offices a minimum of 1 day per week.
