Job description

The Principal Public Health Practitioner will support the Health Inequalities cross organisational initiative, which aims to co-ordinate and embed the organisational approach to improving health equity. The role will support the Steering Group and Secretariat, leading on developing work and engagement plans. This role is a permanent appointment.The successful candidate will be based in our Cardiff Office, with hybrid/home working.

Lead the development of an organisational framework to support work on health inequalities

Lead on the socialisation of the health inequalities narrative

Oversee and manage the Project Manager

Oversee the Development of papers/ agendas for the Secretariat and Steering Group

Lead the planning for workshops

Develop work and engagement plans and monitor progress

Provide regular progress reports to the Steering Group

Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Provide risk and issue management, reporting at both a programme and organisational level,

Manage the programme budget and resources

Support the publication of resources

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
