Job Title: Locum HCPC Registered, Principal Psychologist - Band 8b

Job Type: Temporary, 4 days per week

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 4-6 months (with potential for extension)

About the Role: We are seeking a Locum HCPC Registered Psychologist to join our team and cover our adult inpatient services. This position involves working across an acute ward and PICU ward. The role is expected to last for at least 4-6 months, with the possibility of ongoing work thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising assistants and trainees
  • Providing psychological assessments and therapy
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to offer consultation and psychological recommendations for patient care
  • Facilitating reflective practice and supporting formulation meetings
  • Directly working with complex cases as required

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Experience in adult inpatient care
  • Ability to work up to a principal level grade
