The hospital has residential facilities for 56 patients as well as day care and outpatient services.

The hospital is a principal provider to the NHS in the North of England, focusing on positive holistic outcomes through full service provision.

Job Advert Role Description:

We currently have a vacancy for a Principal Psychologist to work as part of our established multi-disciplinary therapy team that provides psychological treatment and support to inpatients and outpatients. You will also be skilled and motivated in the facilitation of group therapy interventions.

You will join a thriving therapy service that is committed to evidence-based practice, supervision, and providing professional development opportunities. You will be an integral member of an established multi-disciplinary team to contribute to clinical meetings/care planning for patients.

You must be registered with the HCPC.

The post holder's responsibilities will include:

  • Working within the standards set out by CQC, QNIC and other regulators
  • Providing excellent standards of evidence-based practice
  • Regularly reviewing and monitoring outcomes of assessments and the effects of treatment in line with goal-based outcomes
  • Active participation in service developments including: the use of resident feedback/in-house training
  • Contributing to the development of care pathways and other treatment protocols
  • To provide specialist supervision, training and consultation to colleagues through formulation groups/reflective practice
