Principal Psychologist - Chronic Pain Service

We are seeking a Principal Psychologist to join our established interdisciplinary team based in Lincoln. The ideal candidate will have a passion for chronic pain management and experience managing a caseload within a physical health setting.

  1. Provide specialist psychological assessments and formulations.
  2. Deliver individual and group interventions as part of our community-based chronic pain service.
  3. Collaborate with nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.
  4. Maintain excellent communication and relationship skills, and respond resiliently to highly emotive situations.
  5. Develop relationships with local and national clinical stakeholders, including IAPT services, GPs, secondary care, and others.
  6. Offer advice and consultation on psychological aspects of pain management to health professionals.
  7. Advance knowledge and practice of psychological theories and principles.

Requirements:

  1. British Psychological Society accredited postgraduate doctoral degree in clinical, health, or counselling psychology.
  2. Registration with The Health & Care Professions Council as a ‘Practitioner Psychologist’.
