Job summary

H-Power is seeking a Principal Project Manager to own the HY-5 ammonia cracker programme, guiding build, testing and validation with CTO and Chief Engineers. You will manage schedules, budgets and risk across mechanical, electrical, process and software domains.

You will drive decisions, forge strong relationships with suppliers and leaders, and steer the project through production readiness while refining PM practices across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing high-value multimillion-pound programmes with multiple engineering disciplines.
• Strong project-management fundamentals; able to bring clarity and control to complex environments.
• Experience taking technically complex products through development, testing, compliance and industrialisation.
• Influences without direct authority and builds trust with engineers and leaders.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and adaptable in regulated engineering settings.

Responsibilities

• Own the HY-5 ammonia cracker programme with delivery plans, milestones, budgets and reporting.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across systems, process, mechanical, electrical and software engineering.
• Establish structure around dependencies, priorities, resources and decisions.
• Manage risks, mitigate issues and escalate critical items as needed.
• Drive engineering decisions and ensure accountability for delivery.
• Maintain schedules, forecasts, risk registers and programme reporting for stakeholders.
• Support build, testing, validation, productisation and transition to production.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project-management practices at H-Power.
