Starting salary up to £71,500 depending on skills, knowledge, and experience. Contract: Continuing. Location: Newcastle, Hybrid with at least one day a fortnight on-site.

Role Overview:

The Principal Analytics Team Lead supports the Product Data Domain teams, leading data collection, modelling, and pipeline development to enhance data quality and usability across the BBC. Responsibilities include designing data models, leading cross-product projects, and possibly line management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on data modelling, pipeline automation, and best practices.
• Mentor team members and support data quality throughout the data lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data products and strategies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in data analysis, engineering, or modelling roles, preferably in digital products.
• Experience managing data warehouse projects from diverse sources.
• Proficiency in dimensional modelling, SQL, and tools like DBT, Looker, Airflow.
• Knowledge of database systems (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Experience in digital media products and some coding in R or Python.

Teamwork & Stakeholder Skills:

• Effective communicator and collaborator.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
