Job Description:

Job title: Principal Process Safety Engineer

What you’ll be doing:

• Completing DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Reviewing and producing explosion safety strategies
• Developing and producing processes and policy documentation for the site

Your skills and experiences:

• Experience in explosion safety engineering environment and hazard analysis methods
• Experience in DSEAR risk assessment, hazard identification, and analysis (preferably from a high hazard industry)
• Understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) and proven track record in implementing business processes to meet strategic goals
• Degree in a STEM discipline
• Experience with COMAH – Control of Major Accident Hazards (Safety Case support)
• Site Asset Protection and Fire Safety Engineering experience

The Safety and Environmental Team:

This role offers exposure to strategic initiatives, working with a team from principals to apprentices, liaising with operational managers, department heads, and the Health & Safety teams. It provides opportunities for professional growth within the function. Relocation support is available for eligible Submarines roles.
