Job description

Job title: Principal Process Safety Engineer

Location:

Barrow-in-Furness – we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing:
  1. Completing DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities
  2. Mentoring and developing junior engineers
  3. Reviewing and producing explosion safety strategies
  4. Developing and producing processes and policy documentation for the site
Your skills and experiences:
  1. Experience working in an explosion safety engineering environment and applying hazard analysis methods
  2. Producing DSEAR risk assessments, including hazard identification and analysis (preferably from a high hazard industry)
  3. Thorough understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) with a proven track record in implementing business processes to meet strategic goals
  4. Degree qualification in a STEM discipline
  5. Experience with COMAH – Control of Major Accident Hazards (Safety Case support)
  6. Site Asset Protection and Fire Safety Engineering experience
