Job Description:

Job title: Principal Process Safety Engineer

What you’ll be doing:

• Completing DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Reviewing and producing explosion safety strategies
• Developing and producing processes and policy documentation for the site

Your skills and experiences:

• Experience in explosion safety engineering and hazard analysis methods
• Experience in DSEAR risk assessment, hazard identification, and analysis (preferably from a high hazard industry)
• Understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) and proven track record in implementing business processes to meet strategic objectives
• Degree in a STEM discipline
• Experience with COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) and Safety Case support
• Site Asset Protection and Fire Safety Engineering experience

The Safety and Environmental Team:

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team involved in strategic initiatives. You will work with a team from principals to apprentices, liaising with operational managers, department heads, and Safety teams. The role offers exposure to the Wider Control Damage Hazards team and opportunities for professional growth. Relocation support packages are available across all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility.
