Job Description

Job title: Principal Process Safety Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness – flexible and hybrid working arrangements available; please consult your recruiter for options.

What you’ll be doing:

• Completing DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Reviewing and producing explosion safety strategies
• Developing and documenting processes and policies for the site

Your skills and experiences:

• Experience in explosion safety engineering and hazard analysis methods
• Experience in DSEAR risk assessment, hazard identification, and analysis (preferably in high hazard industries)
• Understanding of Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) and experience in implementing related business processes
• Degree in a STEM discipline
• Experience with COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) and Safety Case support
• Site Asset Protection and Fire Safety Engineering experience
