Job description

Do you want a client-facing role where you'll be given the support and autonomy to use your full skill set to solve complex problems? If so, our Nuclear; Defence and Civil division are recruiting Principal Process Engineers to join our fast-growing team.

The roles are technically focussed and include all stages of front end engineering from feasibility to detailed design. You'll be involved in multi-discipline projects and be responsible for liaising with clients to develop the best solutions to meet their needs. Along with producing a range of design and technical documentation, visit client sites as necessary, and pursue and promote further opportunities with the client.

Responsibilities and requirements
  • You'll be responsible for providing quality assurance of others work by surveillance and checking and therefore chartered status is preferred, although demonstration of progress and equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Chartered status with the IChemE or other relevant professional body
  • Lead process engineering aspects of multi-discipline design projects
  • Possess a broad knowledge of industry standards and legislation
  • Be able to present and defend solutions to complex problems to clients
  • Ensures safety is an integral part of process engineering design
  • Technical chemical/process engineering experience
  • Demonstrable experience in process engineering design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and work on multiple projects
  • Client-facing experience as well as a commercial awareness of FEED projects
  • Able to actively seek input from other engineers, specialists, facility and project team members to improve understanding and deliver fit for purpose solutions.
