Job summary

Frossell Recruitment Limited is actively seeking a Principal Process Automation Software Engineer in Peterborough. The role is full-time with a £58,500 base plus overtime and a hybrid work setup.

You will be the technical authority across a full lifecycle of control systems, leading end-to-end project delivery. Ideal candidates will bring 10+ years of Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and FactoryTalk View SE experience, plus familiarity with ISO9001/14001/27001/45001.

Qualifications

• 10+ years with Rockwell Allen-Bradley ControlLogix.
• 10+ years with FactoryTalk View SE.
• Experience working to ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001.
• Electrical engineering degree or completed apprenticeship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC and SCADA applications, from control logic to complete systems.
• Turn customer URS documents into clear functional design specifications.
• Test and commission systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and optimise process performance.
• Collaborate with project engineers, designers and clients to define requirements.
• Ensure designs are safe, compliant, reliable and on spec.
• Support colleagues as the team grows.

The opportunity

My client delivers the full lifecycle, from quick upgrades to complete turnkey solutions: assessment, design, build, installation, commissioning, training and support. As Principal Engineer, you will be the technical authority across all of it.
