Job summary

ETAP is seeking a Principal Power Systems Engineer to act as a technical authority for Grid Code compliance and Transient Stability studies in the UK and Europe. You will lead complex power system studies, develop ETAP models, and provide expert consultancy and training across markets.

The role requires 7+ years of experience, Chartered Engineer preferred, and a strong background in ETAP and grid codes. Hybrid work in Milton Keynes with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in power system analysis.
• Expert in transient stability and dynamic simulation.
• Strong knowledge of Grid Codes (UK & Europe).
• Experience in training delivery and customer support.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering; Chartered Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Grid Code compliance and Transient Stability studies
• Perform load flow, short circuit, dynamic and protection studies
• Apply UK & Europe Grid Codes in system studies
• Develop and validate ETAP models for dynamic analysis
• Provide advanced customer support and consultancy
• Deliver ETAP training and technical workshops
• Support pre-sales, demos and customer engagement
• Mentor engineers and drive technical excellence
