Job description

Principal Policy and Performance Officer - 25 hours

Salary Grade 8 £41,511 - £44,711
(£28,048 - £30,210 pro rata to 25 hours) (pay award pending)

We are seeking an experienced policy and performance officer to join our Housing Options Team. You will report directly to the Head of Housing Solutions and alongside the Housing Options and Resettlement Managers to develop and implement the Council’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy and Allocations Policy alongside day-to-day policies and procedures, and will manage the service’s corporate performance monitoring and statistical returns.

This role will take responsibility for managing the Service’s contracts for the IT system and supported housing projects, developing service improvements, service level agreements and providing project support for the managers. A penchant for fairness and an understanding of the issues facing customers will be required to co-ordinate complaints, freedom from information requests and MP enquiries. You will have a proven track record in meeting targets, negotiating agreements and providing excellent customer service in dealing with the public and partner agencies.
