Principal Platform Engineer - Kubernetes, Storage Platforms, VMWare

My client, a leading sporting institution and household name, is seeking an experienced, senior-level Platform Engineer to lead a team of engineers, advise on best-practice technical experience, and instill the highest standards to deliver DevOps methodologies.

The Role:

• Implementing infrastructure platforms across all technology stacks to provide secure, reliable, high-performing, and scalable services.
• Providing monitoring and observability to ensure optimal performance.
• Supporting technology platforms for break/fix incidents.
• Advocating the use of modern tools and practices to provide automated provisioning and configuration management.
• CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.

Candidates Must Have the Following Skills / Experience:

• Highly detailed knowledge and experience of VMware, Kubernetes, storage platforms, and associated underlying infrastructure hardware and provisioning.
• Exceptional Linux skills.
• Microsoft skills including Active Directory.
• Experience with Cloud (Azure) and hybrid-based alternatives to on-premises infrastructure.
• Experience providing infrastructure for large Enterprise applications such as PLM or ERP platforms.
