Principal Platform Engineer - Kubernetes, Storage Platforms, VMWare

My client, a leading sporting institution and household name, is seeking an experienced, senior-level Platform Engineer to lead a team of engineers, advise on best-practice technical solutions, and uphold high standards to deliver DevOps methodologies.

The Role:

1. Implementing infrastructure platforms across all technology stacks to provide secure, reliable, high-performing, and scalable services.
2. Providing monitoring and observability to ensure optimal performance.
3. Supporting technology platforms for break/fix incidents.
4. Advocating the use of modern tools and practices to provide automated provisioning and configuration management.
5. Managing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.

Candidates Must Have the Following Skills / Experience:

1. Highly detailed knowledge and experience of VMware, Kubernetes, storage platforms, and associated underlying infrastructure hardware and provisioning.
2. Exceptional Linux skills.
3. Microsoft skills including Active Directory.
4. Experience with Cloud (Azure) and hybrid-based solutions to on-premises infrastructure.
5. Experience providing infrastructure for large enterprise applications such as PLM or ERP platforms.
