The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Town Planner to take on a key role focusing on planning applications and appeals. Working on high-impact projects in one of the UK’s most picturesque and desirable locations, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping sustainable, high-quality developments across Cornwall and the surrounding areas.

You will lead and support a variety of projects, providing expert planning advice, coordinating application submissions, preparing statements for appeal, and engaging with key stakeholders including local planning authorities, landowners, and developers.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated and capable planner who meets the following criteria:

• Chartered Member of the RTPI (MRTPI)
• Significant experience in planning, gained either in a planning consultancy or within a local authority development management team
• Strong understanding of planning law, policy, and application/appeal processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to represent clients at meetings and appeals
