A Local Authority in the South West seeks a Principal Planning Enforcement Officer for a 3-6 month contract. The role requires a well-established officer to lead complex cases and manage enforcement operations across multiple areas, with a strong focus on decision making and technical knowledge. Candidates must have prior leadership experience and a detailed understanding of Local Authority activities.
Our client is a Local Authority in the South West.
They require a Principal Planning Enforcement Officer to take the lead in overseeing the enforcement function across for 4 areas in the County. As a Principal Officer you will lead more complex cases and you will also help determine work allocations for lesser experienced officers to ensure efficiency and smooth service delivery. You will have full responsibility for reporting on appeal performance across the area.
We are looking for a well established Enforcement Officer, able to demonstrate a range of experience in Local Authority enforcement activity. Given the nature of this role, your technical knowledge will need to be extremely detailed and thorough and you will need to be confident on your decision making.
It is essential that you have previous experience in a leadership capacity as we need someone who can hit the ground running.
The initial contract will be 3-6 months with a rate of £57.76hr (umbrella).
