Principal Physical Design Engineer - Bristol

I am looking for a Senior Physical Design Engineer to join a client in Bristol.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading IC design service company who works within a range of markets such as automotive, healthcare, industrial and consumer markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team where no day will ever be the same giving you the opportunity to work on a range of different projects. You will take full-flow ownership of all stages of the digital RTL-to-GDSII implementation flow.

Responsibilities

• A strong academic background with a degree in Electronics, Physics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in 7+ successful tapeouts.
• Expertise in Synopsys toolchains (ICC or Fusion Compiler) down to 12FF or below.
• Experience in Cadence Innovus (highly desirable).
• Proficiency in STA, timing closure, constraint development, and verification.
• Experience with power management implementation (UPF/CPF), power estimation, and verification.
• Knowledge of RC extraction flows, DRC/LVS/ERC/DFM verification, and power-rail analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively with teams.
