A local government authority in West Bridgford is seeking an experienced Principal Planning Officer to manage diverse planning applications and large-scale projects. This role involves strategic planning and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance the community's objectives. The candidate should have a degree in Town Planning, extensive planning experience, and knowledge of urban design principles. The starting salary is £40,777, increasing to £44,075, plus a market supplement of £5,000 until August 2027.

The Principal Planning Officer will be responsible for managing a varied and complex caseload of planning applications, contributing to the delivery of Nottingham's strategic planning objectives. This position involves managing complex planning applications, overseeing large-scale development projects and shaping strategic policies that align with Nottingham's growth ambitions, sustainability goals, and local community needs. The role demands a high level of expertise in urban planning, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Salary: Starting Salary is £40,777 (Level one) rising to £44,075 per annum plus a £5,000 p/a market supplement until August 2027
