Our client has an opportunity for a Principal Nuclear Safety Consultant to join our award-winning consultancy in Bristol.

They have been providing high-end strategic and advisory consultancy support to the nuclear industry since [year], working with operators and regulators across the new build, existing generation, decommissioning, and defence markets. The company specializes in safety cases, environmental management, nuclear safety governance, radioactive waste management, decommissioning strategy, and development/demonstration of nuclear organizational capability. Their clients include EDF Energy (NNB and Generation), AWE, RWM Ltd., TEPCO, Horizon, Babcock Marine, and MoD, providing a range of services to help organizations demonstrate compliance with legal and regulatory expectations of the nuclear industry.

The ideal candidate will be degree-qualified, with a science or engineering background, and at least 10 years of UK industry experience in nuclear safety case development.

The role involves production, strategy, and management. The candidate should be highly credible, interested in identifying and tracking opportunities, and capable of winning new work while delivering high-quality results, utilizing the team as appropriate. There is also encouragement to translate relevant nuclear knowledge and expertise to other sectors, such as oil and gas.

The role will include:
