Job Description:

The Role

QinetiQ Maritime Land and Weapons operates measurement facilities (sea ranges) across the UK and internationally for testing naval ships and submarines' acoustic stealth.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing team of engineers and data analysts in vibro-acoustics testing and evaluation. You will conduct field measurements, data analysis, modelling, and report writing within the office and laboratory.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the principal technical expert in R&D, representing the company at customer meetings.
  • Lead innovation and research for new technologies.
  • Enhance international collaboration with academia and seek new partnerships.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines within QinetiQ.
  • Provide technical leadership for large, complex noise and vibration projects.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours/week, based at Rosyth, with hybrid working options.

Essential Experience:
  • Significant experience in a similar domain as a Noise and Vibration Engineer.
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, maths, science, or related technical field.
