Job Description:

Ocho are looking for a Principal Network Engineer who will engage in all aspects of the design, implementation, and ongoing stewardship of this company's hosting environments.

As first-class concerns, these new environments will embrace observability, high-availability, information-security, and infrastructure-as-code. You will take a hands-on approach alongside peers within our TechOps, DevOps, and InfoSec practices.

You will also play a critical role in supporting existing legacy infrastructure, ultimately helping migrate these assets onto modern infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Technical Operations in design, development, and implementation.
  • Support infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, and virtualisation.
  • Manage upgrades, capacity, and incident resolution.
  • Collaborate across teams to drive business value and efficiency.
  • Ensure system performance and operational integrity.

Must have:

  • Strong Palo Alto experience, including Prisma Access / Prisma Cloud solutions
  • Expertise in BGP - hands-on experience with design, deployment, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Strong routing and switching skills
  • VXLAN & EVPN experience (or SDN alternatives like Cisco ACI or VMware NSX)
  • Knowledge of IPSEC, DHCP, DNS
  • Solid experience with Juniper switches and routers (Cisco acceptable for strong candidates)
  • Experience with load balancing - HAProxy preferred; F5, A10, Kemp are also suitable
