Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to deliver a range of professional services to their large portfolio of customers. This role offers an innovative approach and a varied workload.

Responsibilities of the Principal Consultant:

• Lead small teams of consultants and peers on larger assignments.
• Perform Net Zero and/or ESG-related gap analysis and governance reviews to meet customer requirements.
• Undertake technical assignments such as carbon LCAs, climate resilience assessments, and SBTi submission support projects.
• Manage projects by working with clients and colleagues to implement measures for energy reduction and resource efficiency on client sites.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Recognised degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience at Principal level in a Net Zero and ESG consultancy, leading project delivery for key clients.
• Chartered Environmentalist status or postgraduate qualification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including participation in webinars and speaking at events.
• Thorough knowledge of current and emerging Net Zero and ESG legislation, frameworks, and standards.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency and decarbonisation measures.
• Knowledge of carbon LCA.
