The Role
As a Principal Naval Architect, you will use your excellent understanding of hydrodynamics and engineering to support the team in solving our customers’ important problems. The programme of work you will be leading is strategically important for our customer, and your knowledge and skills will allow us to adapt the delivery of mission-critical capabilities and understand, confront, and overcome new challenges.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide leadership and strategic oversight over several areas of the business. You will also technically support the free running and captive model experiments within QinetiQ’s world-class Haslar facilities.

This role is 37 hours per week based at either our Gosport or Bristol site.
Our facilities at the Haslar Marine Technology Park are state-of-the-art, including our ocean basin rotating arm and marine towing tank, offering an unparalleled environment for testing and refining designs. Our marine technology offers our global customers a service to deliver constrained hydrodynamic model tests of surface ships, submarines, offshore structures, and renewable energy devices.
