Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Principal Project Manager in Digital Technologies R&D in the United Kingdom to lead cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of next-generation surgical technology. You will drive planning, risk management and stakeholder alignment across hardware and software domains.

The role requires experience with regulated medical devices, strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering complex programs in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end project management experience within Hardware and/or Software Development.
• Familiar with sequential/waterfall, Scrum, Agile, etc.
• Experience leading diverse and complex projects and programs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with highly regulated and/or safety-critical systems is preferred (medical device experience preferred).
• Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• PM qualification/certification such as PMP, Prince2, SAFe.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional development teams to design, implement and commercialize medical devices.
• Plan, coordinate, monitor and manage risks to achieve objectives.
• Oversee lifecycle management and new product development across teams.
• Manage operational aspects and liaise between functional and business management.
• Drive development and implementation of products/services with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor projects from initiation through delivery.
• Identify risks and issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity and quality goals.
• Support requirements planning and elicitation to meet stakeholder demands.
