Principal Mechanical Engineer (Contract)

12 Months (Initially)

£65-75 per hour (Inside IR35)

Warrington OR Bristol / Hybrid (2 days on-site per week)

iO Associates has partnered with a client in the Nuclear industry, in the recruitment of a Principal level Mechanical Engineer.

Day to day you will be involved in providing leadership in the delivery of engineering and technical activities through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience.

You will be the go-to Engineer to provide a breadth of engineering knowledge, resolving technical issues, as well as compiling technical reports presentations and reviews in accordance to stakeholder requirements.

The skillset required is:

  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Experience in managing engineering scope for Projects from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
  • Hands-on Mechanical Engineering background (ideally within the nuclear industry)
  • Demonstrable experience in managing teams to deliver analysis activities on a range of project types

Due to the nature of the work this role you will need to be eligible for BPSS clearance and based in the UK already, otherwise you will not be eligible to partake in this project work.
