Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with a FTSE 100 organisation that contributes to international defence to recruit a Principal Mechanical Engineer on a 12-month contract, on a hybrid basis from its Plymouth site.

The Principal Mechanical Engineer role comes with an hourly rate up to �78 per hour.

Key skills required for the Principal Mechanical Engineer role

* Experience in the design of mechanical engineering principles of Steam & Condensate, Industrial Gases, Fresh Water, Demineralised Water, HVAC, Domestic Water services etc.
* Detailed knowledge and experience of BREEAM, DREAM, and Building Regs.
* Experience of working in a design consultancy or experience of working within a contractor design environment, managing a small team of engineers.
* Knowledge of the design lifecycle

* Preferably Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related subjects.
* Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IMechE or working towards CEng.
