The role

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you'll maintain engineering configuration, ensuring design integrity throughout the lifecycle. You'll promote effective cooperation across teams.

• Manage customer relationships, develop new business, and resolve technical and delivery issues.
• Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly applied.
• Communicate and manage project risks.
• Produce, review, and approve calculations, drawings, models, and reports.

This is a full-time role, 37 hours/week, based in Rosyth with hybrid working (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).

Essential experience

• Ownership and delivery skills, high performance, challenging the status quo.
• Knowledge of CAD tools and engineering drawing practices.
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Leadership experience.
• Nuclear experience is not required; applications from all engineering backgrounds are welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain Chartered status.

Security Clearance

Must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance. Some roles are subject to security and trade restrictions based on nationality and residency.
