Introduction:
Our client, a leading nuclear engineering firm located in Warrington, is seeking an experienced and innovative Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects in mechanical handling machinery design.
Qualifications Required for Principal Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Chartered status with IMechE (preferred but not essential)
Skills Required for Principal Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Experience designing complex mechanical systems using 3D CAD software and Finite Element Analysis
- Knowledge of fabrication processes such as welding and machining
Responsibilities:
- Project management from concept through production
- Liaising with procurement & manufacturing teams
- Providing technical leadership in your field
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations set by NDA, ONR, and IAEA
Salary Package:
The salary is £70,500 per annum, with benefits including health insurance. The package reflects our client's commitment to attracting top talent and industry standards.
