What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our Asset Management & Technical Services business platform is seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join us on a permanent basis. You will be part of our in-house, multidisciplinary design team, taking a leading role in projects from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low-carbon solutions.

Some Of Your Key Duties Include

  1. Oversee design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
  2. Ensure compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards.
  3. Develop design deliverables.
  4. Complete checking and approval processes.
  5. Arrange procurement of goods and services.
  6. Prepare work scope estimates and quotations.
  7. Assemble contract works information documents.
  8. Consider project health and safety, quality, and environmental matters.
  9. Liaise with all key stakeholders for the projects.
  10. Implement project change control and programme requirements.
  11. Take responsibility as Design Lead on allocated projects.

What Do You Need?

  1. Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Experience working in a multidisciplinary design team.
  3. Experience at all design stages is highly desirable.
  4. Design management experience is highly desirable.
  5. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Full UK Driving Licence.
