Are you a senior structural/civil marine engineer seeking the next step in your career? With us, you will work on globally significant projects, both locally and internationally, alongside leading maritime professionals.

What Will You Do

Your responsibilities include developing engineering design solutions for maritime civil structures in ports and shipyards, using materials such as steel, concrete, and timber, in accordance with relevant codes. You will be involved in all project phases—from inception to demolition and recycling—and act as a Project or Technical Manager depending on project size. You will also guide junior staff and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Design and analyze maritime structures for ports and shipyards.
  • Conduct inspections and surveys.
  • Create and review design calculations and models.
  • Prepare Bills of Quantities, Contracts, and Specifications.
  • Undertake structural analysis and reporting.

You will present to clients, provide engineering advice, and review reports, ensuring high standards of written English. You will also contribute to business development through proposals and client interactions.

We are a global, employee-owned consulting firm with 6,000 colleagues across 75 offices in over 30 countries. Our Maritime team specializes in port planning, design, and development, delivering innovative solutions worldwide. We lead in port feasibility studies and master planning, with a strong presence in the UK and globally.

What You Bring

You have strong analytical skills, can lead design work from concept to construction, and communicate effectively with clients and teams. You are solution-oriented, organized, and professional. Your background includes experience in maritime infrastructure such as heavy-duty quays, dry docks, and ship lifts, along with relevant qualifications (e.g., BSc, MSc, CEng). Willingness to travel is also important.
