Leonardo UK in Southampton is seeking a Principal/Lead Systems Engineer (Security) to design and develop security-related functionality for the next generation airborne communications system. You will engage with cross-functional teams, the project security function, international partners and customers to deliver robust security solutions.

The role emphasises architecture, security protocol experience, and clear technical reporting, with hybrid working options and strong career development

Qualifications

• Experience in development of military and/or civil communication systems.
• Experience in security protocols such as authentication and encryption.
• Ability to produce detailed technical reports.
• Graduate degree in relevant engineering, mathematics or related scientific discipline.

Leonardo has a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer to be responsible for the design and development of security related functionality required to support our next generation airborne communications system. This role will involve engaging with other areas of the project, the project security function, international partners and the customer.
