The Electronics Function in Edinburgh is seeking a dynamic Lead Firmware Engineer to develop complex firmware for Radars and Electro Optics Groups. Candidates should have a degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, with expertise in FPGA techniques.

The successful candidate will design and develop firmware, manage development activities throughout project and engineering lifecycles, and deliver solutions. They will also provide technical guidance on FPGA design and verification techniques, including VHDL, SystemVerilog, and UVM.

This role is primarily office-based, involving screen work, with occasional visits to labs and production sites. Remote work may be possible depending on security requirements.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and occasional UK and overseas travel with overnight stays may be required.
