Overview

We are looking for a Principal Lawyer to head up our Employment Rights team, based in Leeds or Newcastle. This is your chance to take on a senior role where your expertise will shape the future of employment law and make a real difference to working people.

Supported by our Regional Manager for Yorkshire and the North East you’ll be at the forefront of complex, high-profile cases, guiding strategy and mentoring a talented team of lawyers.

Responsibilities
  • Head up the Employment Rights team and drive strategic direction on complex, high-profile cases.
  • Mentor and develop a talented group of lawyers, supporting their professional growth and performance.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager for Yorkshire and the North East to ensure region-wide alignment and success.
  • Contribute to shaping the future of employment legislation through leadership and advocacy.
Qualifications
  • With over eight years’ post-qualification experience, you’ll bring sharp litigation skills and a deep understanding of employment rights.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a demonstrated commitment to justice and defending workers’ rights.
Location and Working Arrangements

Hybrid working with a 50/50 home/office split, based in either our Newcastle or Leeds office. If based in Leeds there would be a requirement for occasional travel to Newcastle (costs covered) to catch up with your team.
